My mom is in a nursing home in a different state, and that makes it hard for me to see her as often as I like. So I call her often, send her gift packages every now and then; but for Mother's Day I always want to do something extra special. I never really know what I am going to do until it hit's me.
This year, I will be sending my mom a gift package with different items that will be useful to her, pamper her and a few items that she can give away to her friends there in the nursing home.
When I was a little girl, my mom would talk to me, sing to me and sometimes holler at me----at almost 81 years of age she still sings to me (over the phone) and when she thinks I am not listening, she hollers and ask if I am still on the phone.
