At the beginning of 2010 I decided to keep a record of what we would have spent, what we did spend, and the savings---oh the savings!
The totals include all grocery store shopping and all drugstore shopping.
Total before sales and coupons: $8,016.32
Total Spent $2,397.16
Total Saved $5,619.16
I have never kept up with our yearly totals before and I was pleasantly surprised (okay ecstatic) when I realized that we saved a little over $5,600 on groceries and household items.
How did you do this year, leave a comment below and let us know.

Hello Everyone and Welcome to Swappin' Spoons! Years ago, I started this blog because I had asked for a Potato Soup recipe over on Facebook and 37 of my friends sent me a recipe for potato soup. 37! I instantly thought we needed a place to share recipes and immediately thought of starting a blog. I told my husband I needed a catchy name for the blog and he is the one that came up with Swappin' Spoons.

Wow that is outstanding -- I began couponing in August and saved 1,000 and didn't even write down every little saving. Your total is GREAT!

Great job! I lost track during the summer, but I averaged less than $80 per week for a family of 5 for the months I did keep track.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting Wednesday Weekly Shopping at Frugal Follies! I truly appreciate it!
