Madison Reed Hair Color Review

Some people call them signs of wisdom, some people call them natural highlights; I think they just make you and me look old! What am I talking about? Gray Hair! That is what I am talking about.

I discovered my first, stiff, curly, gray hair when I was 27 years old! Our family was on a trip and I was doing my make up in the car and the sun highlighted that gray hair just perfectly! I pulled it out and immediately showed it to my husband----without hesitation he said, "Go get your hair colored!"

Years past, more gray hairs came and finally I decided to go get my hair colored in a salon at the age of 35. It was okay and I liked it; it was something new that I had never done before. I even tried coloring my hair at home last year. Now that was fun! I would try browns, light and dark, one time I even went a light shade of red---by accident! I thought it was going to be brown per the box, but somehow ended up being a light shade of red.

I tried several different brands of home hair colors, but NONE of them covered my gray strands of hair up; it was like the color would not "stick" to my strands of gray!

The kind folks over at Madison Reed sent be a box of color to try; I got choose my own color, it was free so I was excited! But in the back of my mind I knew that the color wouldn't work, no store bought color had ever worked on my grays and the salon colors do not last long; but I was willing to try it!

I took before and after pictures, are you ready?

Before:
Look at all those gray hairs!

Yikes!

With all these grays, I should be very wise, but unfortunately that is not what it means!

After applying the Madison Reed Color

Look at those sides---NO GRAY HAIRS!

Seriously, take a closer look -- the Madison Reed color covered up those grays!

Even at a week later, those grays are still covered up! I happy with the color...and of course, no more grays!
