Fishmama and Money Saving Mom are hosting Freezer cooking days again. For my new readers Freezer Cooking Days are when we come together once a month, for a few days, to cook and freeze several meals, side dishes, breakfast foods or just whatever you feel like freezing. There are no rules. Cook enough meals for a whole month, a week, or just prepare snacks for a few days---you decide! All this prep work will shorten our kitchen time in the future, so we can have more time to spend with our families. I am doing my planning and grocery shopping today and cooking tomorrow.
Right now I am planning on doing this:
Brown Sugar and oat muffins
Waffles
Bacon, Cheese & Egg Biscuit Cups
Banana Bread
chop lots of onions
Brown Bag Burritos
Hamburger Steaks
Southwest Roll-ups
Marinated Chicken tenders
No Fuss Chicken Cordon Bleu
Baked Ziti
I will share all these recipes when I get through----
Well there you have it, that is my plan---hopefully what happened last time will not happen this time.
.
I absolutely admire someone that can be this well organized and prepared. Unless I get hit with an organizational (is that even a word??) lightening bolt, all I can do is admire all that participate in this. It's probably the smartest idea I've heard in a long time.. can't wait for the recipes.
ReplyDeleteI just made the "No Fuss Chicken Cordon Bleu" (from OAMM's site) on Monday and froze it..but I've never eaten it before...is it good???
ReplyDeleteI would love to see your Brown Sugar and Oat muffin recipe when it's posted. I always make muffins on freezer cooking days. They make great sides to breakfast and after school snacks.
