Valentine's Day Dessert - Angel Lush

The first time I ever made this dessert (Angel Lush) was for Valentine's Day many years ago. Since then I have made it for birthdays, or just when ever it comes to mind. It is Semi -Homemade--if I can use that term?!?
.
Angel Lush Cake Recipe:
10 oz round Angel Food Cake - cut into 3 layers
20 oz crushed Pineapple in juice, undrained
1 pkg., 3.4 oz Jello-vanilla flavored Instant pudding mix
1 cup thawed cool whip topping
fresh strawberries
*Mix pineapple and dry pudding mix. Gently stir in Cool whip
*Stack cake layers on plate spreading pudding mixture between layers and on top of cake. *Refrigerate for one hour (or longer) top with berries.

  1. This sounds lovely. I wish we could get store bought Angel Food cake here in England but I've never been able to find it. This recipe looks so good I might just have to make one from scratch! I can't get Cool Whip either but I could use whipped cream instead. At least I can bring packs of Jello pudding back in my suitcase when visit the US and Canada! I have a stash of them in my cupboard!!
