Celebrate National Hamburger Day {May 28th} With Wonder Bread + a Giveaway

Did you know that May 28th is National Hamburger Day?  While most people will not get off of work for National Hamburger Day, we can still celebrate this all time American favorite food by eating none other than a hamburger on this day.

We celebrated a little early and had hamburgers and hot dogs for dinner tonight. Yum! My husband always grills the best burgers and dogs!

My youngest daughter wanted grilled pineapple tonight, so we threw some of that on the grill too. If you have never had grilled pineapple, you should try it---YUM!

Over half the people in our family like their dogs burnt, but not me! Thus, my husband's half burnt and half not burnt dogs! He doesn't really "Try" to cook them this way, it's just the way they always turn out! This is perfect for when someone wants to share a hot dog...they can eat the burnt end and I get the other end! It's a win-win!

While my husband and teens were out grilling and talking, I was inside getting the lettuce washed, tomatoes and onions sliced.

Only my oldest daughter and I like onion on our hamburgers, everyone else stays far away from the onion...and us! There are no kisses from the husband and my boys cover they mouth and nose up when I am close talking to them (after eating onions!). I'm just glad I know they love me!

Time to eat!

Boulder Canyon Natural Foods potato chips Review and Giveaway

With Memorial Day right around the corner you may be starting to perfect the ideal menu of summer foods for your holiday plans. The only way to make that hot dog or hamburger even yummier is to include the perfect chip. But what is the perfect chip? For me, it has to have a crunch and of course taste good. I will say I do have a few favorites!

Recently I got to try Boulder Canyon™ Natural Foods potato chips. I tried Avocado Oil Canyon Cut and Olive Oil Canyon Cut, Baked Sweet Potato Fries, and Garden Select Vegetable Crisps.

Thanks to the fine folks at  Boulder Canyon™ Natural Foods, I got to try these chips for Free. I had never heard of Boulder Canyon™ Natural Foods potato chips before being approached about trying their chips; so I was excited to try them. My cashier was pretty amazed that I was getting these for free and commented that she had never tried these either; so I gave her a bag!

Out of the three chips, they all had a crunch, but my favorite was the Baked Sweet Potato Fries. You could taste bits of actual sweet potato in each chip/fry which I loved!

Aurorae Northern Lights Yoga Mat, Strap and Pledge Candle #Review

This is my Yoga mat, but.....

Yoga anyone? 

Since February, I have been taking different classes at the gym to get into better shape. Sometimes I only think about working the body (Cardio) to get closer to my goal, that I totally forget about working my mind! I do not know about you, but my mind needs some peace and quiet from time to time!

The kind folks at Aurorae recently sent me one of their Northern Lights Yoga Mats, Yoga strap, and Pledge candle. It is ultra thick, extra long 72" x 24" wide and 5mm thick to absorb impact on your joints. It even comes with a golden sun focal icon ( that's where you can place your focus!) while releasing whatever is in/on your mind!

Each individual mat has a uniqueness of its own and no two mats are exactly the same.

I love the fact that these mats are machine washable, on gentle cycle, with warm water and a little detergent. And to dry it, all you need to do is hang the mat outside, in the sun if possible.

One important thing to remember is: DO NOT PUT YOUR MAT IN DRYER. Your mat must be absolutely dry before use.

The Lovely Candy Company Review & Giveaway

The journey of The Lovely Candy Company started when a husband was on a quest to find the perfect licorice for his wife. This licorice needed to be crafted with select ingredients, gluten and gmo free. He couldn't find anything like that on the shelves, so he made his own....talk about love!

I know what you are thinking....a healthy candy, that tastes good, really? I am here to tell you yes, there is such a thing!

I recently had the opportunity to try several different flavors of The Lovely Candy. I received four bags of candies from Lovely Candy Company for review and my favorite were the fruit chews with the chocolate swirl caramels coming in to a close second!

Fruits chews were my favorite!

The caramels are chewy, but with a softer texture than regular caramels; the fruit chews are bursting with flavor from the moment you first bite in to them. I have never honestly thought about snacking on beans before until the kind people from Beanitos sent me a box of their chips to try...their chips are made with beans!

My husband and oldest son needed a "snack" before everyone got seated at the table; so I chopped some of the Artisan fillets up and put inside a spinach tortilla, added some lettuce and shredded cheese--they loved it!

For dinner we had both the Lemon Cracked Peppercorn and Roasted Garlic and Italian Herb. My favorite was the lemon cracked peppercorn---I loved how you could taste the lemon and pepper, but at the same time the flavors were not overpowering the taste of the fish! I cooked some yellow rice to go with the fillets. The meal was super easy to make and took only 20 minutes in the oven.
