~Baked Ziti Recipe~

This is always a hit in our home. When I make this, I always make a couple extra pans and stick in the freezer to pull out later in the month or so. It freezes great, just make sure you use heavy duty foil.

~Baked Ziti Recipe~
1 lb. dry ziti pasta
1 onion chopped
1 lb. lean ground beef
2 (24 oz) jars spaghetti sauce
8 oz. Provolone cheese, sliced
1 1/2 c. sour cream
8 oz. Mozzarella cheese, shredded
2 T. Parmesan cheese, grated

*Bring a large pot of lightly salted to a boil. Add ziti pasta, and cook until al dente, about 8 minutes: drain.
*In a large skillet, brown onion and ground beef over medium heat. DRAIN; add Spaghetti sauce and simmer for 15 minutes.
*Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
*Butter a 9 by 13 inch baking dish.
Then layer as follows:
1/2 of ziti, provolone cheese, sour cream, 1/2 sauce mixture, remaining ziti, mozzarella cheese, and remaining sauce mixture. Top with grated Parmesan cheese. Bake for 30 minutes or until cheeses are melted.
Then eat :)
