Walgreens - I love Infusium 23 Shampoo

I love Infusium 23 shampoo! It is my favorite! The cheapest place to buy it is at Walmart for $5.84 (not cheap to me, but the cheapest of any of the stores). Well, Walgreens have them price at $4.99 plus when you buy one a $5.00 Register Reward will print; meaning that you can buy another one for FREE.

I bought two of these today. I did two transactions. Here is what I did.

First Transaction:
Bought one Infusium 23 shampoo - $4.99
Used $2.00 coupon from All You magazine
Paid $2.99 ($3.29 includes tax) out of pocket
Received a RR's for $5.00

Second Transaction:
Bought One Infusium 23 Shampoo - $4.99
Paid with $5.00 RR from previous Transaction
Final Price - FREE

Total Out of Pocket for both bottles - $3.29 (includes tax)--or $1.65 a bottle----GREAT PRICE!!!

  1. I debated doing this deal. I have 2 $2 coupons from Smart Source that came in the mail (my neighbor gave me one). Smart Source never mails their coupons, so that was a surprise this week!

I don't use the shampoo; I use the leave-in conditioner as a detangler. I also use it for my 3 daughters. So, I go through this pretty quickly.

I researched before and found out that Target carries a much larger bottle than Walmart does. The price per ounce is much cheaper than Walmart when I buy from Target. So, I will be getting mine there, as I did last time they had coupons available. The Walgreens deal is really good; does it print a second RR for the second bottle? I haven't done the RR and I'm a bit unsure about trying them. I don't do a lot of Walgreens shopping, so I don't know if I would use mine the next time.

Also, I just needed to stay home and do some Christmas sewing!

  2. Hello Prudent Homemaker, So what did you end up sewing?

No, a second RR did not print because it was a P&G product...per the manager on Duty...only because I paid with the first RR.
***NOW if I had NOT used the RR to pay for it I could have done the deal over and over and gotten unlimited RR's AS LONG as I didn't use the RR's on the purchase...hope all that makes since.

    Merry Christmas!!!

  3. I am confused - I tried to do this deal - I purchased the Infusium and the Johnson's body wash - hoping to get the rewards and pay for a second set. She told me I could not do that. So I did two transactions and received the rewards on both and paid for other practical presents. Can you direct me to the RR store procedures or do they vary from store to store?

  4. Hello Marilyn, As far as I know all Walgreens have the same 'rules' regarding the RR's. I did an in depth post a while back called Walgreens 101, I think that this might help you some, here is the link if you would like to read it. http://swappinspoons.blogspot.com/2009/10/walgreens-101.html ---

    Have a great week!
