I have stressed and stressed to my children to ALWAYS empty their pockets before putting their clothes in the dirty clothes hampers. I have stressed and stressed to my children to CHECK any pockets before putting clothes into the washing machine.
Well lo and behold, do you see all those black globs in my dryer? That is INK from a pen that was left in my husband pant's pocket that I overlooked. I am just sick over it. So for two hours, I scrubbed and scrubbed with finger nail polish remover AND IT WORKED on the tub part of the dryer, but on the back of the dryer it just smeared it and will not come off. Some one suggested that I use hairspray, so I tried that and that didn't work. I am at a loss of what to use on the back part of my dryer. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I totally understand! my daughter has to wear uniforms to school so she had a load of her uniforms and some of the baby's clothes and i washed them. And then dried them, not noticing anything. Blue crayon ALL OVER! My dryer was fine, but i had to buy all new uniform shirts. and throw away a lot of baby clothes. I tried so many different things, but nothing got the stain out. I know this isnt helpful to you, just wanted to reassure you, you're not alone! :)
ReplyDeleteI would try Vinegar and a little dish soap. I use vinegar for everything.
ReplyDeleteTry rubbing alcohol - then rinse it off good with soap and water so it doesn't cause a fire. (It worked on the new bed post poles that my kids drew on with permanent marker)If that doesn't work, try Mr Clean Magic Eraser.
ReplyDeleteI would try the magic eraser!!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Anonymous. I haven't found much that the Magic Eraser can't handle.
