4th of July foods that you will find at my house this year!

Firecrackers: ~ appropriate don't you think?
*Ingredients
1 cup butter, 1 package dry ranch dressing mix, 1/2 Tablespoon cayenne pepper, 1 box saltine crackers

*Directions
Melt butter over low heat. Mix melted butter, ranch dressing mix, and the cayenne pepper in a small bowl until well blended. Place the crackers in the largest bowl you have. Pour the butter mixture over the crackers, then toss and mix with your hands until all the crackers are well coated with the butter and spice mixture. Let stand, re-tossing occasionally, until the crackers absorb all the butter and are dry. Keep these stored in an air tight container.

Potato Salad Recipe: It just wouldn't be the 4th without potato salad!
*Ingredients
8 large potatoes, peeled, washed, cubed, and boiled until done, 3/4 cup red onion, chopped , 3 hard boiled eggs, chopped, 3 Tablespoons pickle relish, 1 cup mayonnaise, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon pepper

*Directions
Mix all ingredients in a large mixing bowl until well combined. Put it in icebox(I know, I know-it's the fridge now a days!) until it is time to eat!

Calico Bean Bake:
*Ingredients
Bacon - as much as you would like. We all love bacon here so I use a lot :) I use the microwave bacon to save time.
1 cup Onion, chopped
1# ground beef (I even omit this sometimes)
1 can (28 oz) cut green beans, rinsed
1 can (15.5 oz) red beans, rinsed
1 can (15.5 oz) Great Northern beans, rinsed
1 can (15 oz) black beans, rinsed
2 cans (15oz each) pork and beans, DO NOT RINSE!
1 bottle (18oz) honey BBQ sauce (any flavor will work fine)

*Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. AFTER rinsing beans combine all ingredients in a large bowl, and mix well. Put in a 13x9 and bake for 45 minutes, I usually let mine stand for 10 minutes before I serve it. Do you have a favorite 4th dish that you would like to share if so please leave a comment. HAPPY 4th of JULY!!!!!.
