I live in Northwest IL. and milk prices have gone back up to around $2.54 a gallon. That is still pretty good considering not to long ago the price of milk was around $4.00 a gallon. Well at County Markets, here in NW IL. They have a deal going to where you buy 9 gallons of milk and then your 10th one is FREE. Hey FREE milk I'll take that anytime! So with the average price of milk being $2.54 that would be $22.86 for 10 gallons of milk (remember your 10th one is FREE!)
BETTER DEAl: Buy all your milk on Saturdays! At County Market they have another awesome deal going....a gallon of milk is only $1.99. Our family (six of us) are big milk drinkers, well except for my oldest son, he only likes it with cereal! So we buy most of our milk on Saturdays! Instead of paying $22.86 for 10 gallons we paid $17.91 for 10 gallons (remember the 10th gallon is FREE!)
EVEN A BETTER DEAL: Two weeks ago my husband came home and was so happy; he brought home three gallons of milk and had only paid $0.99 for each gallon. He had just happened upon this, the date on the milk was getting close to going out so the store had marked it down. So I went back and bought two more. So that time around we paid $12.86 for 10 gallons of milk....Remember the 10th one is FREE!
